[Ingram] POD Sales Report
My dashboard shows one sale. I have no idea if it is the book I bought or if someone else bought the book. Does Ingram also show your own puchases?
Second question: I applied for a sales report by mail (I ticked all the boxes because I coudn't figure out where the sale came from). How soon can I expect the report?

Re: [Ingram] POD Sales Report
Neither IngramSpark nor CreateSpace shows your purchases that you made by clicking on the "Order" button on their websites. If, however, you ordered your own book from Amazon or another place, then the sale to yourself will show.
You requested a sales report from who? IS or CS? IS generally takes a few moments. I've never requested a report from CS, I just look at them online.

Usually with half an hour, although I’ve experienced times when they don’t appear at all.
You will, however, get full reports emailed to you at the beginning of each month.

Re: [Ingram] POD Sales Report
Hi Danwiz,
I ordered my book directly from Ingram.
I looked at report> print sales report> and I tried almost every possible option. Operation unit US with dollars and Canadian dollars. Operation unit UK with euro’s and British pounds and so forth.
But I don’t see the sale. Only on the dashboard. So I have no idea where my book was sold and printed.
Hi Michelle,
Thanks! Good to know I get a full report every month.

Re: [Ingram] POD Sales Report
What you're asking is quite unclear to me. You seem to be asking if/when/where the sale of your book to yourself, ordered directly from your dashboard, will appear on a sales report. If that's what you're asking - it will NOT show.
If a book is showing on your IS dashboard under the "POD Sales Report" it is NOT the book you ordered. You will eventually receive an email from IS giving you the basic information on the sale - US, UK, etc, and a bit more info and then you'll also eventually receive a payment email, stating that a payment is coming to wherever you are having your royalties sent.
I hope that I have now successfully answered your very unclearly phrased questions. BUT ----- Upon reading your OP for the umpteenth time, I think it was just me getting confused about your question, like maybe there is a comma missing or something, which threw me.

Re: [Ingram] POD Sales Report
Hi Danwiz,
Sorry if I wasn’t clear. I responded to the two things you wrote. (the two paragraphs )
The first thing: You said the order wouldn’t show if I bought the book through Ingram. But it would show if I bought it at a webshop like Amazon.
So, I wrote that I ordered the book from Ingram. (So, according to your ‘theory’ the sale on my dashboard wasn’t the book I ordered).
The second thing: Since someone else bought my book the sale should show up in the sales report I guess. But I can’t find it.
Createspace shows all your sales the moment you log in (channel, money currency). But if I understand correctly at Ingram you have to generate a ‘sales report’ to see where the book was printed and which money currency was used to pay for the book. So I generated several sales reports (uk, us etc.) but I still don’t know where the book was printed and sold.
Now that I know they will email me a ‘sales report’ anyway I won’t feel the need to generate a ‘sales report’ every time a book is sold.

Re: [Ingram] POD Sales Report
It's not a theory! I've been with IS for a few years and placed orders for my books many times. I have an order in the mail at this time. I am 100% certain that books I buy myself, through my dashboard, do NOT show as "sales".

Re: [Ingram] POD Sales Report
If you click on Orders > Submitted Orders, you can see all publisher orders and dropship orders. These don’t count as “sales” for the purposes of “publisher compensation” (aka royalties”) reporting.

Thank you Michelle! That "your theory" kind of irritated me.
