[Ingram Spark] Wholesale %

Post by GoMePub2 » Fri Dec 15, 2017 10:11 am

My question is for those who have experience publishing with IngramSpark.

What wholesale percentage did you use? And why?
Is there a standard percentage?
And is it different for Canadian authors?

Also, at what point do they ask you to put in the promo code?

What's killing my sales right now is the fact that people can't go buy it in local stores. Most don't want to deal with online ordering and do not want to pay shipping charges. (Yes, I have mentioned the freeshipping over $35 CAD)
I'm hoping to get around that issue by adding my books to IngramSpark. Giving my customer the option to order my books through a local store such as Chapters-indigo or smaller shops.

The minimum discount for IngramSpark is 30%. However, that won't help if you're wanting to make your book available to bookstores as they will need to inflate the sale price to cover their costs to order the books in. So you will need to set your discount to the standard 55%.

Setup promo codes are the very last step after uploading your files.

Thank you Michelle.
I had a feeling that 55% would be right.
And I would have to increase the price of the book to get any kind of royalty at all.
But can I have two different price on my books? One for CS and another for IS.

Good promo at end ... thanks was worried I would miss it. LOL
