They I got harangue by several members about my use of perspective.
They had no sense of perspective about your perspective then.

[COVERS] Advice on options

Does anyone have any experience of these various websites for getting a cover? Fiverr, DeviantArt, 99Designs and so on? Recommendations? Advice? What to avoid?

I've three near-future police procedural SF books and a fantasy trilogy in the pipeline.

Re: [SPAM] Strategy . . . Comments Wanted

How does one ban a poster? Does banning a poster remove all the spam they've already posted?

Re: [Writing aids] An article about some free and 'freemium' writing aids

I use Grammarly: only the free version as I think the paid version would generate too many false positives. I've not used the others.

One not mentioned is Wordweb, which is a thesaurus program that I really like. Free if you don't fly.

Re: [SPAM] Strategy . . . Comments Wanted

I'd go for deleting them all. As has been pointed out, we're not banning legitimate users, just forcing them to rejoin when they have a question. It's only inactive people who have never done anything, isn't it? As for banning words like 'porn', that would ban that suggestion, this post and anyone w...

Re: [Cover wrong] Who to contact?

I did find the right contact eventually and it was through Author Central. They responded quickly, then requested a copy of the proper cover and said it would be 305 days before it filtered through the system It was a matter of hours. The problem was because this was the first time I'd bought an ISB...

Re: [CS] New book ... bad cover

It is something that bugs me. They adjust a cover, but don't tell you what they've done. So, you can't work out what you did wrong and thus correct it. I'd prefer a 'this failed for X reason, please fix' approach.
