Probably because it’s an Australian organisation.

Re: [INGRAMSPARK] Free setup period extended

@danwiz -- not sure if this was before your time at CS, but they used to charge a $39 fee to enrol books in EDC. IngramSpark could go that route one day and abolish the setup and revision fees, but promo periods can be quite effective as a marketing tool, as is indefinite free setup/revisions for me...

[INGRAMSPARK] Free setup period extended

Good news for those who won't finish their books before the end of November to get free setup on IngramSpark -- they're now offering free uploads until 31 March 2018, using promo code NANO17. Heaps of time!

Re: [CS BARCODES] How to get the price add-on barcode

I'm sure when I was searching for the AU code, the sites I visited were more recent than 2004, but I doubt I could find them now. I guess I'll just leave the add-on code off these books.

Re: [CS BARCODES] How to get the price add-on barcode

Hey Steve, does (can) your barcode generator allow pricing codes for other countries besides the US? I created an AUD code somewhere and can't remember where. When I went to your site, I entered 3 for AUD and 1995 ($19.95) and it created a price for $319.95. Annoyingly IngramSpark's templates only d...

Re: [AMAZON ORDER] Has Amazon ever given you such poor service?

It's nothing to do with IS or CS -- Amazon put caps on customer orders, probably to stop people trying to game the system and reach bestseller status.

I'm not sure why the order has been split or why it's taking so long. You'll have to ask Amazon that question.

Re: [SPARK] update manufacturing notes?

Have you viewed the digital proof? There is a box for notes when you approve the proof for production. You can hold off enabling distribution until after you see a print copy.

Re: [Smashwords] What happened?

I still pop in from time to time, but there's not much action here lately. Also, I've been travelling -- to WorldCon in Helsinki, then spent a few weeks travelling around Europe. Now I'm back in Australia and have four writers festivals and conventions to attend for the remainder of the year. It's b...

Re: [CS] CreateSpace - Barcodes

Joe, you should think about joining SPN. You'll never pay another set-up or revision fee at IS ever again. And if I end up doing your covers, you won't have to worry about the "tougher" submission process.

Re: [ARCS] Netgalley options

I haven't used a co-op, but I had a subscription with NetGalley for 2 years. Not sure if you saw my reply on that other forum. Anything longer than a month isn't going to get more exposure. After 2-3 weeks the book becomes invisible due to the constant release of new titles, and requests will dry up...
