Re: [COVERS] Advice on options

I've had several clients who have used https://www.selfpubbookcovers.com/ and their covers looked good. You may be looking for just images, but they're worth mentioning.

Re: [COVERS] Advice on options

Years ago I was active on Deviant Art, Artbistro, Epilogue, and Renderosity, and several other art sites no longer around (but not Fiverr or 99Designs). Artists have a personal gallery. Artists have work in various site galleries. Some work is indicated as being for sale or free, often in the site g...

Re: [Best Pictures?] newbie to self-publishing, but...

There are two ways to proceed regarding images: black & white or color. What makes this the first issue is that color costs many times more than black and white. I have done thousands of images through CS. I have been pleasantly surprised most of the time. I've both prepared images (10 minutes to 10...

Re: [SPAM] Strategy . . . Comments Wanted

I've been logging in around 5am and until this morning, then throughout the day. I've found 2-3 spams a day. Today, I didn't get on until 9:40, and there were 10.

I've downloaded the new captcha software, but I haven't had time to install it.

Re: [SPAM] Strategy . . . Comments Wanted

Interesting observation. I've been logging in several times a day, but say in the afternoon-early evening. For the last few days, I've tried to log in early morning. The two-three days there were 8-12 spams. I deleted them and the member. For the last few days, I've found only 1-2 spams. I will try ...

Re: [SPAM] Strategy . . . Comments Wanted

Let me check on moderating first posts.

I went in to delete all inactive accounts . . . and the last one, from many months ago, was a currently active member, whose ID I recognize.

So maybe this wasn't a great idea!

[SPAM] Strategy . . . Comments Wanted

We have a capcha system and email confirmation that has kept waves of spam away. However, we have had a few get through. Today, five. We can delete the actual spam and we can delete the email account/member permanently, which I do, when I can. The is reactive. I am thinking that I should select the ...

Re: [CS] New book ... bad cover

One great reason for making a cover with no extra canvas (surrounding white space) is that there is less for CS to mess with. I've been doing this since I first signed up with CS. This has been Bookow's format, and recently CS too has adapted the no extra canvas format. If possible, I also flatten m...
